BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying business opportunities, evaluating new projects, coordinating strategic initiatives, and ensuring compliance with government regulations. The position works closely with the Assistant to the President, Management Committee, and Department Managers to support business growth and organizational objectives.

Directly reporting to the Assistant to the President

  • Work closely with the Assistant to the President in developing and implementing business ideas, projects, and strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate with the Finance Manager on the financial viability of proposed projects.
  • Facilitate discussions with Department Managers to assess and improve new business concepts.
  • Lead and monitor business development projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager in identifying workforce training and development needs for new projects.
  • Spearhead customer relationship and business development initiatives.
  • Participate in strategic planning and the preparation of the company's long-term business plans.
  • Review existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and submit monthly accomplishment reports.
  • Monitor changes in government regulations affecting the company and ensure compliance.
  • Prepare, process, and monitor permits, licenses, and other regulatory requirements with government agencies and local government units.
  • Coordinate with government offices regarding applications, renewals, compliance issues, and document submissions.
  • Maintain organized records of permits, licenses, and compliance documents.
  • Keep Management informed of regulatory updates and recommend appropriate actions when necessary.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with government agencies and other external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the VP for Land Management on all matters and concerns related to land management operations
  • Performs other functions as may be required by higher authorities.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of progressive experience in business development, corporate planning, or regulatory compliance—with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or senior handling capacity.
  • Project & Strategy Leadership: Proven track record in leading business projects from development to completion and reporting directly to executive/top management.
  • Government & Compliance: Solid background in managing permits/licenses, liaising with LGUs/national government agencies, and handling land management operations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to coordinate cross-functionally with internal Department Managers (Finance, HR, Operations) and external partners.
  • Analytical & Reporting Skills: High competence in process optimization, project viability assessment, and executive reporting.
