PROJECT ARCHITECT

Site Architect

Job Description:

Site Architects research, program, plan, design, and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform general architectural works including architectural design, site visits, inspections, and preparation of related reports.
• Review CAD drawings, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, and color boards prepared by Architectural Designers.
• Make new proposals and/or modify existing drawings when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Write construction specifications and prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials when needed.
• Interface with suppliers as required.
• Coordinate work with engineering and construction units at project sites.
• Review, approve, and issue detailed design and construction drawings and specifications prepared by others.
• Provide technical guidance to Architectural staff working on the same project.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate.
• Plan and conduct minor modifications to complete detailed drawing sets.
• Monitor preparation of technical drawings.
• Ensure compliance of construction detail documentation with best practices.
• Prepare and review as-built drawings.
• Attend site meetings and project meetings, coordinate schedule reviews, and submit samples.
• Engage in team meetings to resolve project issues and coordinate schedule adherence of technical matters.
• Conduct and document on-site observations and reviews.
• Monitor the performance of contractors and subcontractors and identify or raise quality issues.
• Assume responsibility for architectural works on the project and certify completion of installations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture.
• Licensed Architect is an advantage but not required.
• Around 1–3 years of experience in Architecture and Design.
• Must have integrity, initiative, and be flexible and proactive.
• Experience interpreting and understanding local utilities rules and design codes.
• Good CAD skills.
• Good level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
• Basic written and spoken English communication skills.
