About the role
PT Dgl Expedisi Indonesia is seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor - Airfreight to join our dynamic logistics team in North Jakarta. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our airfreight services. As Supervisor - Airfreight, you will be responsible for overseeing daily airfreight operations, managing team performance, and maintaining the highest standards of service delivery to our clients. This supervisory role is essential to our continued success in the competitive transport and logistics industry, directly contributing to our operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily airfreight operations, ensuring all shipments are processed efficiently and accurately
Manage and lead the airfreight team, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and staff development
Oversee cargo handling, documentation, and compliance with international airfreight regulations and procedures
Monitor and maintain inventory levels, tracking systems, and warehouse organization standards
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies across all airfreight operations
Communicate with airlines, customs authorities, and clients to coordinate shipments and resolve any operational issues
Track shipment progress and provide timely updates to clients and internal stakeholders
Identify areas for process improvement and implement operational efficiency initiatives
Prepare reports on operational metrics, team performance, and airfreight activities
Handle customer inquiries and ensure service quality meets or exceeds expectations
What we're looking for
Proven supervisory or team leadership experience within the airfreight, logistics, or transport industry
Strong knowledge of airfreight operations, including cargo handling, customs procedures, and international shipping regulations
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to priorities multiple tasks
Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively
Strong communication skills in both written and verbal forms, with proficiency in English an advantage
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
Familiarity with logistics management systems and cargo tracking software
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation
Knowledge of Indonesian customs regulations and local airfreight industry practices
Certification in logistics, supply chain management, or relevant qualifications is desirable
