Job Summary
Bernales & Associates is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting operational data to identify trends, improve business processes, and support data-driven decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to present insights to different stakeholders in a fast-paced BPO environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and performance trackers to monitor operational KPIs.
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve business performance.
- Conduct root cause analysis and provide actionable recommendations based on data findings.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for management and clients.
- Monitor operational metrics such as service levels, productivity, customer satisfaction, and other performance indicators.
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality Assurance, Workforce Management, and other departments to support business initiatives.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports.
- Automate manual reporting processes whenever possible using advanced Excel functions and tools.
- Present analytical findings clearly to stakeholders through reports and presentations.
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives through data-driven insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in data analysis, preferably in a BPO or similar fast-paced environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Pivot Tables
- Complex formulas
- Data validation
- Lookup functions
- Macros (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis.
- Experience working with large datasets and generating actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proactive, adaptable, and resourceful in a dynamic work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SQL for data extraction is a plus.
- Experience in workforce management or operations reporting is an advantage.
- Familiarity with KPI reporting within a call center or BPO environment.
