Production Manager

Job Requirements

• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
• Experience with process capability studies, gage R&R, and design of experiments (DOE).
• Experience with CAD data analysis (CATIA V5 preferred).
• Knowledge of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and related inspection equipment.
• Strong knowledge of Flatbed knitting, Seamless Knitting, Fabric Production, and Garment Manufacturing is preferred.
• Above?average math skills, including statistics and calculus.
• Understanding of different yarn characteristics and properties of synthetic filament and spun fiber yarn types is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Quality Process & Engineering Mgr is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes and products meet company, customer, regulatory, and safety standards. This role drives continuous improvement through robust quality systems, data?driven analysis, and cross?functional collaboration. This role reports into the General Manager with a dotted line to Magid Head Quarters Operations and Engineering teams. Partners closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, Product Development Supply Chain, and Suppliers to identify risks early, resolve quality issues, and improve overall process capability and performance.

• Product Design & Development - Work with RV team on development new products or enhancements to existing ones based on customer requirements. Apply engineering principles to ensure functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Project Management - Manage product development timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Coordinate cross-functional activities with manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams. Track project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Testing & Validation - Plan and conduct product testing, validation, and performance analysis. Troubleshoot design issues and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manufacturing Support - Collaborate with production teams to scale designs for manufacturing. Improve production processes to reduce cost and increase efficiency. Support prototypes and production launches.
• Documentation - Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including BOMs (Bills of Materials), specifications, and change records. Support engineering change management processes.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Systems & Compliance

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems, procedures, and inspection methods.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and external quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001 or equivalent).
• Conduct internal, process, and supplier audits and lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation, work instructions, and inspection reports.
• Manage a team of Quality technicians, 1 x Quality Mgr, and 1 x Product Development Manager

Process Improvement & Root Cause Analysis

• Analyze manufacturing and quality data to identify defects, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) using structured problem?solving and statistical tools.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and other quality methodologies.
• Develop and implement formal processes and systems to better manage operational output.
• Create new robust and repeatable process requirements for IPP products.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to quality, efficiency, and compliance.
• Perform statistical analysis including hypothesis testing, process capability studies, and trend analysis.
• Prepare and present quality performance reports and recommendations to management and stakeholders.

Supplier Quality Management

• Evaluate supplier quality performance and ensure incoming raw materials meet specifications.
• Partner with suppliers to address quality gaps and implement improvement plans.
• Support supplier audits and qualification activities as required.

Training & Cross?Functional Collaboration

• Design and deliver training on quality processes, procedures, and inspection methods.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to embed quality at every stage of production.
• Support new product introductions (NPI) by ensuring quality requirements are defined and met
