Position Title: Shipyard Engineering Manager
Location: Lampung
Department: Engineering
Reports To: General Manager / Technical Director
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the engineering department in shipyard projects (new building, conversion, and repair).
Plan, organize, and monitor engineering activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, timelines, budgets, and safety standards.
Provide technical guidance in ship design, structural analysis, outfitting, and system integration.
Coordinate with project managers, production, and QA/QC teams to resolve technical issues.
Review, approve, and control engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documents.
Liaise with classification societies, clients, and vendors to ensure regulatory compliance.
Develop and implement engineering best practices, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead, mentor, and evaluate engineering staff to enhance team performance and technical competency.
Ensure compliance with international maritime standards, class rules, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 7–10 years of shipyard or marine engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of ship design, structural engineering, and marine systems.
Familiar with classification society rules (ABS, BV, DNV, Lloyd’s Register, etc.) and IMO regulations.
Proven leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills in English (written & spoken).
Strong organizational and decision-making ability.
