About the role
We are seeking a full-time Accountant to join our team at Church Point. This is a key position within our organisation, responsible for managing our financial accounting and reporting functions. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, supporting informed business decision-making, and maintaining compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Key responsibilities
Preparing financial reports in accordance and its timely lodgement
Prepare quarterly BAS statements for the company and lodgement with ATO.
Prepare all tax related matters by liaising with ATO if required
Preparation of management accounts and financial analysis to support business decision-making
Analyse and reports on the revenue and expenditure of the business
Maintaining organised financial documentation and records in compliance with audit requirements.
Preparing supporting documents for external auditors for tax returns
Oversee the operational costs of our business and advises ways to minimize them.
Budgeting and forecasting activities.
Liaises with management for all financial matters as and when they arise
Proficiency in accounting software experience with accounting systems such as XERO
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all financial records
Qualification & Experience Required:
Masters degree in accounting is essential.
Demonstrated experience in financial accounting and reporting, ideally 2 plus years in a similar role
