Position Summary
The Spa Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the spa at Svara Boutique Residences, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and compliance with the property's luxury hospitality standards. The role supervises spa therapists and reception staff, maintains service quality, manages scheduling, inventory, and hygiene standards, while driving revenue through effective retail sales, treatment promotions, and guest engagement.
Working closely with the General Manager, Operations Team, and other departments, the Spa Supervisor ensures the spa delivers personalized wellness experiences that reflect the Svara Boutique Residences brand and contribute to overall guest satisfaction and business performance.
Reports To: General Manager / Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities
1. Spa Operations Management
Supervise the daily operations of the spa to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
Ensure all treatments and services are performed according to established SOPs and luxury hospitality standards.
Monitor treatment schedules and optimize therapist productivity.
Ensure spa facilities, treatment rooms, and wellness areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
2. Guest Experience
Deliver exceptional guest service by providing personalized wellness experiences.
Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
Build strong guest relationships to encourage repeat visits and positive reviews.
Ensure VIP guests and special requests are handled with care and attention to detail.
3. Team Leadership & Development
Supervise, coach, and motivate spa therapists and spa attendants.
Conduct daily briefings and ensure staff are well-informed of operational updates.
Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and training of spa team members.
Promote a positive, collaborative, and guest-focused working environment.
4. Sales & Revenue Generation
Promote spa treatments, wellness packages, memberships, and retail products.
Drive retail sales through product recommendations and upselling techniques.
Monitor daily revenue, treatment bookings, and retail performance.
Assist in developing promotional campaigns and seasonal wellness packages.
Support the achievement of departmental revenue and profitability targets.
5. Scheduling & Administration
Prepare therapist schedules to ensure efficient manpower planning.
Monitor appointment bookings and maximize treatment room utilization.
Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and guest histories.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
6. Inventory & Purchasing
Monitor inventory levels of spa products, oils, linens, and operational supplies.
Coordinate purchasing requests and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
Minimize wastage and maintain proper stock control procedures.
7. Hygiene, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, sanitation, and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness of treatment rooms, equipment, and public spa areas.
Ensure therapists comply with grooming standards, SOPs, and professional ethics.
Support routine inspections and ensure all equipment is properly maintained.
8. Cross-Department Collaboration
Coordinate with Front Office, Guest Relations, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Reservations to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Support special events, wellness retreats, and promotional activities.
Work closely with the Marketing team to promote spa services and enhance brand awareness.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Spa Management, Wellness, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in spa operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
Experience in luxury resorts, boutique hotels, wellness retreats, or international spa brands is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of spa treatments, wellness therapies, retail products, and guest service standards.
Experience with spa booking systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
