Assistant Manager Technical R&D – Protective Coating, Marine & Flooring
PT Nipsea Paint and Chemicals (Nippon Paint Indonesia – Ancol) is looking for a highly experienced and innovative professional to join our Technical R&D team as Assistant Manager Technical R&D, focusing on Protective Coating, Marine, and Flooring.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the paint and coatings industry, preferably in a similar technical/R&D role.
- Experienced in paint troubleshooting and technical problem-solving.
- Strong experience in product development and product innovation.
- Able to determine and establish paint manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Strong analytical thinking and creativity.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Able to work quickly, effectively, and efficiently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Manage and perform research and development activities, including process development, setting required parameters and product targets, pre-commercialization trials, and mass production implementation.
2. Prepare monthly technical reports covering development plans, testing and review status, formulation development, chemical/raw material analysis, trial results, and final outcomes.
3. Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Sales, and Marketing departments regarding production activities, raw material availability, new product development, and improvement of existing products.
4. Monitor and take appropriate action based on raw material analysis and chemical composition to achieve effective and continuous product development.
5. Lead troubleshooting activities and provide technical solutions related to product quality, formulation, and production processes.
6. Drive innovation and improvement initiatives to support the development of Protective Coating, Marine, and Flooring products
