Job Overview

The Restaurant Manager / Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing and supporting daily restaurant operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and strong financial performance. This role requires proven leadership, attention to detail, and experience in high-standard hospitality environments.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can manage teams, maintain service standards, support business performance, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and support daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Lead, train, coach, and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
• Maintain high standards of service, food quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company policies.
• Manage staff scheduling, attendance, manpower deployment, and performance.
• Monitor inventory, ordering, wastage, and cost control.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Coordinate closely with kitchen leadership to ensure seamless and efficient service.
• Monitor sales and operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in achieving restaurant sales, profitability, and operational targets.
• Prepare and review daily operational and sales reports.
• Ensure proper implementation of company standards, procedures, and promotions.
• Support the Restaurant Manager in overall operations and assume leadership responsibilities when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Solid understanding of restaurant operations, cost control, inventory management, and team management.
• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Customer-focused with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a Michelin-starred or Michelin-selected restaurant, or
• Background in a luxury hotel, premium hospitality group, or high-end dining establishment.
• Exposure to fine dining service standards and exceptional guest experience.
• Experience managing high-volume or premium dining operations.
• Familiarity with POS systems, restaurant reporting tools, and inventory systems.
