Procurement and Logistics Officer (Industrial Engineer)

Accountable for the timely arrival of the right goods and services procured locally, while ensuring relevance, efficiency and effectiveness of purchasing processes and control systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the development and implementation of the vendor management policies and procedures.

2. Manages all supplier contracts and assists to administer best pricing strategies as well as recommend strategies to improve quality and manage inventory levels for all products.

3. Recommends enhancement for standard practices relating to requisitioning and purchasing procedures such as price determination, accreditation, and other constructive

purchasing policies.

4. Promptly submits adequate documents of canvassed/ bidded prices for purchase orders, and sees to it that all established procedures and guidelines are carried out in accomplishing

the tasks such as canvassing and preparation lead time, monitoring delivery schedules.

5. Initiates negotiations with new local suppliers and supervising the team in negotiating and facilitating purchase agreements with suppliers in accordance with established

procurement policies.

6. Prepares and reports accurate, timely and relevant importation information to the management.

7. Accountable for warranty review, processing and claims to suppliers.

Qualifications:

1. Must have two (2) or three (3) years working experience in a procurement and logistics/supply chain role in the construction industry

2. Must be familiar with sourcing and vendor management

3. Must have good communication (oral and written) and negotiation skills

4. Must have good time management skills

5. Must have strong leadership capabilities such as solid judgment with ability to make good decisions

6. Must be a good person of initiative and high moral integrity

7. Must be a team player

8. Must be proficient, quick and comfortable with personal computer navigation and operation
