JOB SUMMARY:
The Logistics and Inventory Officer is responsible for overseeing inventory management, shipment coordination, warehousing, material movement, supplier coordination, and logistics monitoring to ensure efficient operational support for company activities.
The position plays a vital role in maintaining inventory accuracy, timely delivery of products, proper coordination with foreign and local suppliers, and ensuring uninterrupted supply chain operations for medical equipment and supplies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Inventory Management
· Monitor inventory levels of medical equipment, supplies, and consumables.
· Maintain accurate inventory records and stock monitoring systems.
· Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliation.
· Monitor expiry dates, stock movement, and reorder levels.
II. Logistics Coordination
· Coordinate shipment schedules with foreign and local suppliers, forwarders, and brokers.
· Monitor incoming and outgoing deliveries.
· Ensure timely release and delivery of shipments.
· Coordinate with Sales, Service, Accounting, and Regulatory departments regarding logistics requirements.
III. Documentation & Compliance
· Prepare and monitor shipping documents, delivery receipts, pull-out forms, and inventory records.
· Coordinate documentation requirements for FDA, customs, and supplier compliance.
· Ensure proper filing and monitoring of logistics-related documents.
IV. Warehouse & Operations
· Supervise proper storage and handling of inventory items.
· Ensure orderly warehouse operations and stock organization.
· Monitor issuance and return of materials and equipment.
V. Reporting & Coordination
· Prepare inventory and logistics status reports for Management.
· Report inventory discrepancies, delayed shipments, and operational concerns immediately.
· Assist Management in improving logistics efficiency and inventory control procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in logistics, inventory control, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Experience in medical, pharmaceutical, healthcare, distribution, or importation industries is an advantage.
