Senior operations Manager

About the role

PT Apex Nusantara Indo is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to join our Clients team in Aviation. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in overseeing and optimising our airline operations. As Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient and safe flight operations whilst maintaining the highest standards of service delivery. This role is essential to the success of our airline operations and directly impacts our ability to deliver exceptional service to our passengers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily airline operations including flight scheduling, crew management, and aircraft maintenance coordination

• Manage operational performance metrics and key performance indicators to ensure targets are consistently met

• Coordinate with various departments including flight operations, ground services, and customer service to ensure seamless operations

• Implement and maintain operational procedures and safety protocols in compliance with industry regulations and standards

• Resolve operational issues and disruptions promptly to minimise delays and passenger impact

• Lead, mentor and supervise operational staff and team leaders to foster a culture of excellence and accountability

• Monitor and manage operational budgets and resource allocation to optimise efficiency

• Conduct regular audits and reviews of operational processes to identify areas for improvement

• Liaise with airport authorities, regulatory bodies and partner airlines to maintain positive working relationships

• Report on operational performance to senior management and provide strategic recommendations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 10 years of experience in ground handling companies

• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale flight operations and complex operational challenges

• Strong knowledge of airline operations, including flight scheduling, crew management, aircraft maintenance and ground handling procedures

• Excellent understanding of aviation regulations, safety standards and compliance requirements

• Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing and developing high-performing teams

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities

• Proficiency in airline operational systems and management software

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration or a related field is preferred

• Knowledge of Indonesian aviation regulations and familiarity with Jakarta airport operations is advantageous
