Job Description
Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, networking, and cloud environments.
Manage and optimize data infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, security, and performance.
Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes for data integration from multiple sources.
Administer and monitor databases, data warehouses, and data lake solutions.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and application teams to understand infrastructure and data requirements.
Ensure data integrity, reliability, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes are effectively implemented.
Monitor infrastructure and data platform performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvements.
Implement security best practices, including access management, data protection, and compliance with company policies.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and operational processes using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, database, and data integration issues in a timely manner.
Prepare technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance infrastructure and data capabilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Data Engineering, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server administration, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and networking fundamentals.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle).
Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow, or similar platforms.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Familiarity with data warehousing, data lakes, and big data technologies is an advantage.
Experience with monitoring tools, backup solutions, and disaster recovery planning.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles, identity and access management, and data governance.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware, Cisco, or Kubernetes) are an advantage.
