Housekeeping Field Manager

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping team. This is a field-based role, not an office-based position. The successful candidate will spend most of their time on the floor, inspecting villas, coaching the team, and ensuring every guest area is clean, well-presented, and ready at all times.

At Samara Lombok, housekeeping plays an important role in creating great first impressions and delivering consistent guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Operations

• Lead the daily housekeeping operation across guest villas, public areas, and back-of-house.

• Conduct daily inspections to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are met.

• Ensure all villas are guest-ready before arrival.

• Monitor housekeeping schedules and daily productivity.

• Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and support the housekeeping team.

• Provide on-the-job training and maintain housekeeping SOPs.

• Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and attention to detail.

• Conduct regular performance feedback and coaching.

Quality Control

• Maintain high housekeeping standards across all properties.

• Ensure proper use of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies.

• Coordinate with Engineering on maintenance issues affecting guest rooms.

• Work closely with Front Office and Operations to support guest requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of management experience in a 5-star hotel, luxury resort, or international hospitality brand.

• Strong leadership and team development skills.

• Proven experience in staff training and operational coaching.

• Excellent eye for detail and quality standards.

• Hands-on, field-focused management style.

• Strong understanding of luxury housekeeping operations and guest expectations.

• Ability to establish systems, procedures, and performance standards.

• Fluent English preferred.
