Job responsibilities:
Lead and facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly team meetings to plan work, allocate resources, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with quality assurance objectives.
Establish, implement, and enforce quality assurance procedures, systems, and policies in line with company and customer standards.
Ensure pattern accuracy and compliance with specifications and approved standards.
Promote continuous learning by sharing technical knowledge and strengthening quality awareness across all staff levels.
Maintain accurate quality records and reports, including AQL results, defect analyses, and monthly performance reviews.
Coordinate with manufacturing plants and subcontractors to assess capabilities, review production styles, establish standards, and ensure effective quality assurance coverage.
Collaborate with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues, manage non-conformities, and implement preventive actions.
Monitor in-process quality parameters, machine settings, and production standards to ensure product integrity.
Participate actively in quality-related meetings and take decisive actions, including stopping production when necessary, to maintain quality standards.
Qualification:
Minimum 3 years' experience in an Assistant Manager role or 8 years' experience in a Supervisory role within Quality Assurance in the garment/apparel manufacturing industry.
Must possess experience handling Japanese brands/customers and be familiar with Japanese quality standards and requirements.
Strong competence in Microsoft Office, presentation, and communication skills. SAP knowledge will be an added advantage.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams while driving accountability and performance.
Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices.
Strong knowledge of QA systems, procedures, and customer standards, with the ability to enforce compliance across operations.
Capability to analyze reports (AQL, defect summaries, performance data) and make data-driven decisions.
Competence in monitoring in-process parameters, machine settings, and production standards to ensure product integrity.
Strong attention to detail in maintaining records and preparing performance reports for management oversight.
Readiness to take decisive actions to safeguard product quality.
Commitment to developing staff and building organizational quality awareness and technical capability.
