Project Intern (Engineering)

As a Project Intern, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects whilst working alongside experienced project management professionals. This role is crucial in ensuring that our facilities and infrastructure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

1. Assist in the planning and scheduling of engineering projects, including resource allocation and timeline development.

2. Assist Quantity Surveyor team in Calculate volume estimation, Unit price analysis, Bill of Quantity (BQ & RAB), Prepare Cost Estimation.

3. Support project managers in monitoring project progress and tracking key milestones against agreed timelines.

4. Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and databases to ensure all information is current and accessible.

5. Conduct site visits and inspections to observe construction or installation work and report on compliance with project specifications

6. Support the procurement process by gathering quotes, comparing suppliers, and assisting with vendor management

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor degree of Engineering (Civil, Architect, or a related degree)

2. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management software

4. Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

5. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team

6. Keen interest in learning about engineering practices, project management methodologies, and healthcare facility operations

7. Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges
