Position Summary
MoreEnergy Technology Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Business Development Executive to help build the company's business development function from 0 to 1. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating new opportunities, establishing business processes, and driving company growth in a startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Build the Business Development Function (0 ? 1)
· Establish the company's business development framework, sales pipeline, and customer acquisition process.
· Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for lead generation, customer engagement, proposal management, and sales tracking.
· Create and maintain a CRM database and sales reporting system.
· Develop strategies to generate consistent business opportunities from the ground up.
2. Market Development & Lead Generation
· Identify and develop new business opportunities in the commercial, industrial, residential, and government sectors.
· Conduct market research to identify customer needs, emerging trends, and competitor activities.
· Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, cold outreach, digital platforms, and industry events.
· Build relationships with property developers, EPC contractors, consultants, architects, electrical contractors, distributors, and corporate clients.
3. Client Acquisition & Sales Support
· Arrange meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations with prospective clients.
· Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable solar energy solutions.
· Prepare proposals, quotations, and business presentations in collaboration with the engineering and technical teams.
· Support contract negotiations while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
4. Strategic Partnership Development
· Establish long-term partnerships with developers, commercial establishments, government agencies, and strategic business partners.
· Explore new distribution channels and referral networks.
· Represent the company during business meetings, trade exhibitions, and networking events.
5. Business Strategy
· Recommend market expansion strategies and new revenue opportunities.
· Monitor industry developments, government incentives, and renewable energy regulations.
· Provide management with regular competitor analysis and market intelligence.
· Participate in strategic planning and annual business growth initiatives.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Coordinate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Marketing, and Project Management teams to ensure smooth project execution.
· Assist in project handover from sales to operations.
· Support marketing campaigns and brand awareness activities by identifying potential business opportunities generated through digital and offline channels.
7. Reporting
· Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly business development reports.
· Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
· Track KPIs, conversion rates, revenue targets, and customer acquisition metrics.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Management, or a related field.
· 2–3 years of experience in Business Development, B2B Sales, Account Management, or Corporate Sales.
· Experience in the renewable energy, solar, construction, engineering, or electrical industry is highly preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities and build strong client relationships.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
· Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
· Self-driven, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with CRM software is an advantage.
· Willing to travel for client meetings and business development activities.
· A valid driver's license is an advantage.
