About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mine Engineer to join PT DMT Exploration Engineering Consulting Indonesia. This is a full-time position based in South Jakarta, Jakarta, offering the opportunity to lead engineering initiatives and contribute strategically to our mining consulting services.
As a Senior Mine Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the technical excellence, safety, and efficiency of our mining projects whilst providing expert guidance to our engineering teams.
Competent Person (KCMI/JORC/SNI) are preferred.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee the design, planning and execution of mining engineering projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards and safety regulations
Conduct geotechnical assessments, reserves estimation and feasibility studies for mining operations
Develop and implement mine design solutions, including pit optimisation, mine scheduling and production planning
Lead site investigations and undertake technical evaluations to support exploration and mining activities
Manage and supervise engineering teams, providing technical guidance, mentorship and quality assurance on engineering deliverables
Prepare comprehensive technical reports, engineering designs and project documentation for clients and stakeholders
Provide expert consulting advice to clients on mining engineering matters and project requirements
Undertake site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and resolve technical challenges
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering
Minimum 8 years of professional experience in mining engineering
Proven expertise in mine design, mine planning, pit optimisation and resource estimation methodologies
Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, slope stability analysis and rock mechanics
Demonstrated experience with mining software and modelling tools
Excellent understanding of mining regulations, environmental compliance and health and safety standards applicable to mining operations
Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure
Competent Person (KCMI/JORC/SNI) is preferred
