Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

PT Interpak Industries Batam is seeking a skilled Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Batam Kota, Riau Islands. This full-time position is essential in overseeing the efficient operation and management of our state-of-the-art warehousing and distribution facilities. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of goods and materials, optimising storage and inventory management, and leading a team of dedicated warehouse personnel.

What you'll be doing

1. Supervising and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the warehouse team, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods

2. Implementing and enforcing safety protocols, procedures, and best practices to maintain a safe and organised work environment

3. Monitoring and optimising inventory levels, stock rotation, and space utilisation to maximise operational efficiency

4. Overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment, facilities, and infrastructure

5. Reporting on key performance indicators and providing recommendations for process improvements

6. Liaising with cross-functional teams, such as logistics, procurement, and production, to ensure seamless integration of warehouse operations

7. Providing training and development opportunities for the warehouse team to enhance their skills and productivity

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar role within the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry

2. Strong understanding of warehouse management principles, including inventory control, space optimisation, and material handling

3. Proficient in the use of warehouse management systems and other relevant software

4. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills

5. Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of organisation and attention to detail

6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a team

7. Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations in the warehousing industry
