We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Construction Project Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs. This role is essential in supporting preconstruction planning, risk management, and successful project bidding while ensuring profitability and budget control.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quantity takeoffs by measuring and quantifying materials from drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Analyze and calculate direct costs (materials, labor, equipment) and indirect costs (overhead, contingencies).
- Prepare and submit accurate and competitive bids and cost proposals.
- Source, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Identify potential project risks, cost drivers, and schedule impacts during the preconstruction phase.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure cost accuracy.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and drawings.
- Proficiency in estimating and takeoff software, BIM tools, CAD software, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
