Music Teacher (choir/vocal coaching & music instruments skill)

JOB DESCRIPTION :

We expect you to :

1. Educate students about the fundamental concepts of music theory such as vocalization, rhythm, melody, pitch, and tempo. 

2. Able to conduct exercises and coaching students choir, vocalization, harmonizing, singing and music instruments.  

3. You may also lead rehearsals in preparation for the school’s musical performances.

4. Plans and implements the lesson plan

5. Teaches music courses

6. Leads rehearsals for musical programs

7. Grades written and practical examinations

8. Records student grades and attendance

9. Mentors students.

10. Conduct lessons, co-curricular activities, curriculum reviews, examination setting, marking and moderation.

11. Create a syllabus and lesson plan.

12. Develop instruments and carry out student assessments.

13. Monitor and report student progress every month

REQUIREMENTS :

1. At least 2 years of prior experience in teaching

2. Bachelor’s degree in Music Education

3. Must be licensed to teach

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

5. Determined and dependable

6. Passionate about music

7. Having good and active English both written and oral skills

8. Having good understanding of the Cambridge Curriculum is an advantage

9. Having experience in teaching English at formal school is an advantage

10. Able to manage the classroom to maintain an orderly learning environment effectively

11. Delivering lessons to students and grading students assignments and exams

12. Honest, diligent, conscientious, nimble and have good initiative and creative;physically and mentally healthy

13. Having good integrity as a teacher

14. Willing to take part in the selection process
