About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Waiter to join the hospitality team at AWERA RESORT, located in the stunning Kepulauan Mentawai, Sumatera Barat. This is a contract position that offers an exciting opportunity to deliver exceptional service in a unique resort setting. As a Waiter, you will be the face of our establishment, ensuring every guest receives outstanding dining experiences and memorable service. Your role is crucial to maintaining the high standards of hospitality that define AWERA RESORT and contribute to our guests' overall satisfaction and return visits.

Key responsibilities

1. Greet guests warmly upon arrival and seat them at their designated tables in accordance with seating arrangements

2. Provide comprehensive menu information and make personalised recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary requirements

3. Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to the kitchen and bar staff

4. Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner, ensuring presentation standards are maintained

5. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience and respond promptly to any requests or concerns

6. Clear tables efficiently and reset them to our high standards between services

7. Process payments, including cash and card transactions, with accuracy and professionalism

8. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, special dishes and beverage offerings

9. Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow

10. Uphold health, safety and hygiene standards in all food service operations

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience as a waiter or in a similar customer-facing hospitality role

2. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact courteously with guests from diverse backgrounds

3. Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities

4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining composure under pressure

5. Proficiency in taking accurate orders and processing transactions

6. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

7. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry items safely

8. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

9. Fluency in Indonesian and English is preferred

10. A positive attitude and genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service
