About the role

Jack Rabbit Coffee Bar is seeking a passionate and skilled Barista to join our dynamic team in Bandung, West Java. This is a full-time position that sits at the heart of our café operations, where you will be responsible for crafting exceptional coffee experiences and delivering outstanding customer service. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and reputation of Jack Rabbit Coffee Bar, ensuring every cup we serve reflects our commitment to excellence and passion for specialty coffee.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing and serving high-quality espresso-based drinks, filter coffee, and specialty beverages with precision and consistency

2. Operating and maintaining espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment to the highest standards

3. Creating latte art and decorative presentations to enhance the visual appeal of beverages

4. Taking customer orders and processing payments efficiently using point-of-sale systems

5. Providing knowledgeable recommendations about coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavour profiles

6. Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment, including regular cleaning of equipment and work stations

7. Managing stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies

8. Working collaboratively with team members during peak service periods to ensure smooth operations

9. Engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner to build loyalty and create a welcoming atmosphere

10. Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times

What we're looking for

1. Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for creating positive customer experiences

2. Ability to work efficiently during high-volume periods whilst maintaining quality

3. Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency in beverage preparation

4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills

5. A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skills

6. Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to adapt to changing café demands

7. Basic numeracy skills for handling cash and processing transactions accurately
