Overview

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Finance Manager to lead PointStar Indonesia’s financial operations. In this role, you will serve as a key pillar of our regional backbone, bridging the gap between high-level financial strategy and day-to-day operational execution. As PointStar continues its aggressive growth as an AI-powered digital transformation leader, you will be responsible for ensuring financial health, maintaining robust internal controls, and providing actionable insights that support scalability and profitability in the Indonesian market.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Reporting & Performance Management

    1. Oversee the preparation and consolidation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the Indonesia entity.

    2. Prepare high-quality management reports and board-level presentations for regional and corporate stakeholders.

    3. Develop and maintain financial dashboards and KPIs (e.g., DSO, EBITDA Margin, Utilisation) to provide actionable insights into business performance.

    4. Ensure reporting governance meets both local Indonesian standards and regional corporate requirements.

  2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning

    1. Lead the annual budgeting process for PointStar Indonesia in collaboration with local practice leads and global HQ.

    2. Drive robust rolling forecasting cycles and perform comprehensive variance analysis to identify risks and opportunities.

    3. Align financial planning with the organisation's long-term strategic growth objectives.

  3. Financial Operations & Controls

    1. Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies.

    2. Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including revenue recognition (IFRS/GAAP), accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management.

    3. Implement and enforce divisional best practices to maximise operational productivity and streamline financial workflows.

  4. Strategic Advisory & Business Partnering

    1. Partner with the General Manager and regional leadership to analyse capital allocation, pricing models, and ROI on strategic initiatives.

    2. Provide financial expertise for bid evaluations and commercial decisions to enhance project profitability.

    3. Support regional expansion and strategic projects with market entry analysis and restructuring advice.

  5. Compliance, Audit & Risk Management

    1. Manage statutory audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings in compliance with Indonesian regulations.

    2. Ensure full compliance with local tax regulations (VAT, WHT, Corporate Tax) and financial reporting standards.

    3. Monitor and mitigate financial risks, including currency exposure and liquidity constraints.

  6. Team Leadership & Talent Management

    1. Lead, mentor, and develop the local finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and data-driven decision-making.

    2. Proactively identify skill gaps and implement training programs to support continuous professional growth within the department.


Requirements

Experience & Education

  1. Experience: Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in Finance or Accounting, with a proven track record in a leadership or managerial role.

  2. Industry Background: Direct experience in Professional Services, IT Consulting, or the SaaS/Cloud ecosystem is highly preferred.

  3. Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  4. Professional Certification: Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA, or CIMA) is highly desirable.


Skills & Competencies

  1. Technical Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in modern ERP systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite or SAP) and advanced financial modelling in Excel/Google Sheets.

  2. Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of Indonesian accounting principles (PSAK), tax compliance, and financial reporting governance.

  3. Business Acumen: Ability to translate complex financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders and act as a strategic partner to Sales and Operations.

  4. Analytical Mindset: High attention to detail with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into agile action plans.


Language Proficiency

  1. Fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and verbal) is strictly required for local execution and regional corporate reporting.
