Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization through effective financial planning, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and internal controls. The role ensures the accuracy of financial records, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and provides strategic financial guidance to management. The Finance Manager must be a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with strong leadership and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities Financial Management and Reporting

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and cost efficiency.
• Present financial reports and analyses to senior management.

Budgeting and Financial Planning

• Lead the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget utilization and identify variances.
• Develop financial models and projections to support strategic decision-making.
• Recommend financial strategies to achieve organizational goals.

Accounting Operations

• Oversee general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and general ledger.
• Ensure proper recording and reconciliation of financial transactions.
• Review and approve journal entries and financial reports.

Compliance and Taxation

• Ensure compliance with government regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
• Oversee preparation and submission of tax returns and regulatory reports.
• Coordinate with government agencies, external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and financial regulations affecting the company.

Internal Controls and Risk Management

• Establish and maintain effective internal control systems.
• Conduct financial risk assessments and recommend mitigating measures.
• Ensure safeguarding of company assets and financial information.
• Monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Cash Flow and Treasury Management

• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and funding requirements.
• Monitor working capital and liquidity positions.
• Review and approve cash disbursements and fund allocations.
• Optimize cash management strategies.

Audit Coordination

• Lead the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits.
• Ensure timely resolution of audit findings and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and financial records for audit purposes.

Leadership and Team Management

• Supervise and develop finance and accounting personnel.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
• Promote continuous improvement within the finance team.
• Ensure effective coordination with other departments.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.

Experience

• At least 1-3 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
• Minimum of 3 years in a managerial or supervisory position.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, retail, or related industries is an advantage.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), taxation, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficient in ERP systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Office applications.
