About the role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barista to join the hospitality team at Arpana Villas & Private Estate, located in Badung, Bali. This is a opportunity to deliver exceptional coffee and beverage experiences to our discerning guests. As a Barista, you will be at the heart of our café and bar operations, creating memorable moments through expertly crafted beverages and outstanding customer service. This role is crucial to maintaining the premium experience we pride ourselves on delivering across our luxury villa and private estate.

Key responsibilities

1. Prepare and serve a variety of espresso-based drinks, speciality coffees, and other beverages with precision and consistency

2. Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment to the highest standards

3. Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavour profiles

4. Interact professionally and courteously with guests, taking orders and providing recommendations

5. Maintain a clean and hygienic work station, including proper sanitation of all equipment

6. Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other beverage ingredients

7. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during peak periods

8. Adhere to health and safety regulations and company standard operating procedures

9. Assist with training junior staff members on coffee preparation techniques and customer service standards

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar beverage preparation role within a hospitality setting

2. Proficiency in operating espresso machines and coffee equipment

3. Strong knowledge of different coffee types, brewing techniques, and flavour characteristics

4. Excellent customer service skills with a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences

5. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining quality standards

6. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene

7. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and peak season periods

8. Professional and positive attitude towards teamwork
