Coordinator Maintenance

Responsibilities:

·       Coordinate the execution of daily, weekly, and shutdown maintenance plans. Prioritize workloads and ensure proper job packets are distributed to technicians

·       Monitor equipment availability, reliability, and utilisation against agreed KPIs.

·       Act as the liaison between underground operators, maintenance supervisors, and logistics. Ensure parts and tools are staged, available, and organized

·       Ensure maintenance work is completed in accordance with OEM recommendations and company procedures.

·       Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to validate metrics, track equipment history, and generate KPI reports

·       Liaise with external vendors for specialized repairs or rebuilds, ensuring contracted services are delivered to site standards

·       Investigate equipment failures and assist in identifying root causes and corrective actions.

·       Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve fleet performance and reduce maintenance costs.

Who we’re looking for?

·       Typically requires 3 to 5 years of heavy-duty mechanical/electrical experience in an underground hard-rock or coal mining environment. A trade qualification (e.g., Journeyman Mechanic/Electrician) or an Associate’s degree in reliability/asset management is highly preferred

·       Proficiency with CMMS (e.g., SAP, Maximo, or similar) and intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel and Word

·       Deep understanding of mine safety legislation, risk management systems, and hazard identification

Strong conflict resolution and communication skills to negotiate priorities between production-driven operations teams and maintenance-driven engineering teams
