About the role
PT SCG Barito Logistics is seeking an Export-Import Sales Customer Service professional to join our dynamic team in West Jakarta. The Export-Import Sales Customer Service Representative serves as the primary operational interface between the company, its customers, and transport vendors. The main purpose of this role is to ensure excellent customer retention and seamless service delivery by managing job orders, optimizing land transport coordination (haulage and trucking), and maintaining proactive communication regarding shipment statuses. The role holder is responsible for safeguarding client satisfaction through swift problem-solving, while ensuring that operational data and vendor costs are meticulously captured and handed over to the Finance department to secure profitability.
What you'll be doing
Receive, verify, and process incoming job orders directly from customers, ensuring all required booking details are accurate and complete.
Proactively monitor, request, and follow up on Delivery Orders (DOs) and missing job specifications from clients to prevent operational delays.
Swiftly respond to customer inquiries, quotation requests, complaints, and service concerns using a highly professional and solutions-oriented approach.
Arrange, schedule, and coordinate container movements and cargo dispatching with internal truck coordinators and external trucking vendors.
Optimize truck utilization and ensure all haulage vendors strictly adhere to established timeline Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Actively monitor shipments and inland deliveries from the point of origin to the final destination.
Provide proactive, real-time milestone status updates to customers, immediately flagging any potential customs clearance issues or transit delays.
Collect all physical and digital invoices and delivery receipts from trucking and logistics vendors.
Review, summarize, and input cost data accurately into the internal logistics system before systematically transferring the completed billing files to the AR/AP Finance team.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, or a closely related field.
Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in Customer Service, Operations, or Inside Sales within the logistics, freight forwarding, or trucking industry.
Proven experience in Export-Import Haulage Management, specifically in managing port-to-factory container tracking and trucking dispatch.
Strong grasp of Export-Import Document Management, including familiarity with Bills of Lading (B/L), Certificates of Origin (COO), Packing Lists, Customs Declarations, and Port Clearances.
An established network or existing relationships with local container trucking vendors and Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers.
Strong professional English skills (both written and verbal) to effectively manage international trade accounts, external communications, and cross-border documentation.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data tracking, summarization.
Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or basic ERP software.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach
Exceptional ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor under pressure when managing clients or vendors.
Capability to quickly resolve route delays, vendor shortages, and document discrepancies.
High level of accuracy, meticulous attention to detail, and robust multitasking capabilities.
