Honest Grocer & Deli is a new neighbourhood grocery and deli that will be opening in early June 2026 in Penestanan, Ubud. We focus on good ingredients, honest sourcing, fresh deli items, ready made meals, pantry staples, and everyday essentials for people who care about what they eat.
We are currently building a small, friendly team and looking for people who are enthusiastic, reliable, and proud to help create a clean, welcoming, and helpful shopping experience for our customers.
Shop & Deli Staff
Job Description:
- Maintain daily store and deli operations
- Assist and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Handle cash and non-cash transactions
- Arrange and refill product displays
- Monitor stock levels and product expiry dates
- Input daily sales data and monitor stock movement
- Perform daily cash closing and sales reconciliation
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and display standards
- Support the team with daily operational tasks
Requirements:
- Friendly, honest, and reliable
- Good communication skills
- Able to work neatly and carefully
- Willing to learn about products and ingredients
- Comfortable working in a small team
- Communicate clearly with customers in English
- Must be based in or near Ubud
- Previous experience in a grocery store, café, deli, restaurant, or hospitality is preferred, but not required
- Able to communicate with customers in English
