Daily Worker Steward

About the role

Locca Sea House is seeking a Daily Worker Steward to join our dynamic hospitality team in Bali. This is a full-time position based in our beachfront location, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organisation and overall ambiance of our kitchen and dining facilities. As a Daily Worker Steward, you will be essential to ensuring that our guests experience the highest standards of hygiene and service quality throughout their visit.

Key responsibilities

1. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen, dining areas and service zones in accordance with health and safety regulations

2. Managing the washing, sterilisation and proper storage of all kitchen equipment, utensils and crockery

3. Supporting kitchen staff by organising workstations and ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available

4. Removing waste and recyclables in a timely and environmentally responsible manner

5. Assisting with food preparation support tasks as required, under the direction of kitchen staff

6. Maintaining organised storage areas and ensuring kitchen inventory is properly managed

7. Supporting the setup and breakdown of dining areas to meet operational requirements

8. Responding promptly to cleaning requests and addressing spillages or accidents immediately

9. Adhering to all food safety protocols and contributing to a safe working environment

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience as a steward, kitchen hand or in a similar hospitality role within a food service environment

2. Strong understanding of food hygiene and sanitation standards

3. Physical fitness and ability to work on your feet for extended periods, including lifting and carrying items

4. Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining consistent standards of cleanliness

5. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively alongside kitchen and service staff

6. Adaptability and willingness to take on additional tasks as needed in a fast-paced environment

7. Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high-quality work standards

8. Basic English communication skills to understand instructions and communicate with team members
