About the Role
Insignia.co.id are looking for a motivated Data Engineer Intern to join our data team. In this role, you will assist in building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines, writing efficient SQL queries, and supporting data processing initiatives. This internship is a great opportunity for students or fresh graduates who want to gain hands-on experience in data engineering.
🔮 Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
- Assist in building data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Work with relational databases to manage and analyze data.
- Create and maintain database objects using SQL best practices.
- Collaborate with the data and analytics team on various projects.
- Support data validation, monitoring, and documentation.
🎓 Requirements
- Must Have:
1. Minimum programming proficiency in SQL.
2. Familiar with Python for data processing.
3. Understanding of SQL concepts such as:
- Common Table Expressions (CTE)
- Window Functions
- Create Table As Select (CTAS)
4. Experience using at least one relational database:
- MySQL
- PostgreSQL
- MariaDB
- Have completed or currently in the Final Thesis stage, or have previous internship/work experience.
- Have completed at least one academic or personal project related to data, databases, or software development.
- Nice to Have
1. Basic understanding of ETL/ELT concepts.
2. Experience using Git.
3. Familiarity with data visualization or BI tools.
4. Organizational or leadership experience (student organizations, committees, etc.).
5. Strong analytical thinking and willingness to learn.
