JOB DESCRIPTION
Lead and oversee the drafting department, managing and developing a team of drafters to ensure high-quality deliverables and optimal productivity.
Develop and implement drafting standards and procedures to ensure quality and efficiency.
Collaborate with engineers, and architects to interpret project requirements and design specifications.
Review and approve detailed drawings and plans for accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Train and mentor team members, providing guidance on best practices and technical skills.
Manage project timelines, ensuring that all drafting work is completed on schedule.
Utilize CAD software and other design tools to create, modify, and optimize drawings.
Conduct regular quality control checks on completed work to ensure adherence to company standards.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in drafting technology.
Able to set KPI & Budget for drafting department.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum STM Building Construction, Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, Shipbuilding, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of drafting experience, with supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
Proficient in AutoCAD, BricsCAD, and Civil 3D; Revit is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of construction drawings, building standards, and drafting best practices.
Good English and communication skills.
Strong leadership, project management, coaching, and problem-solving abilities.
Able to develop systems, templates, and efficient drafting workflows.
