Role Purpose

The position also plays a key role in developing operational systems, improving material recovery performance, supporting supplier and off taker coordination, and scaling WAHU’s plastic recovery operations across operational areas at Bandung.

Key Responsibility

Recycling & MRF (Material Recovery Center) Operations

• Lead daily MRF operations including material intake, weighing, sorting, baling, storage, and outbound logistics.
• Ensure operational efficiency, productivity, and material quality standards.
• Monitor contamination rates, recovery yield, and operational KPIs.
• Improve workflows and optimize material throughput across shifts.
• Oversee facility maintenance and equipment performance.

Plastic Recovery & Supply Chain

• Manage inbound plastic flows from Waste Hubs, collectors, dropboxes, schools, and community partnerships.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and collection partners.
• Support operational expansion into new collection areas and material streams
  

Inventory & Traceability

• Ensure accurate inventory tracking and reconciliation.
• Maintain traceability documentation for recycled materials.
• Monitor stock movement, storage conditions, and material losses.

Team Leadership

• Lead and manage operators, QC teams, warehouse staff, and operational coordinators.
• Build a strong, safety-oriented, and performance-driven culture.
• Conduct operational coaching and training programs.

Compliance & Sustainability

• Ensure compliance with operational SOPs, safety standards (K3/HSE), and environmental regulations.
• Support audit readiness and sustainability reporting initiatives.
• Maintain safe handling and storage practices across operations.

Commercial Coordination

• Coordinate outbound shipments and off-taker requirements.
• Support pricing discussions and operational planning with management.
• Ensure smooth fulfillment of customer orders and delivery schedules.
  

Qualifications

• 5-10 years Experience in recycling, waste management, manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Strong leadership and operational management capability.
• Familiarity with material recovery, plastic recycling, or warehouse operations is highly preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced startup environment.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in operational reporting and KPI monitoring.
• Communication in English proficiency.
