Duties

The incumbent is the Management Liaison at the U.S. Mission to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), ensuring a full range of management services to thirty-plus USASEAN staff members at this multilateral mission that is co-located with the bilateral Embassy to Indonesia.  The incumbent independently liaises between USASEAN and the bilateral Embassy to coordinate Mission management services, working directly with the Financial Management Officers, General Services Officers, Human Resources Officers, Diplomatic Technology Officers, and others.

Requirements:

All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a:  Secret security clearance.  All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam. Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time 4 weeks upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Education Requirements:

Completion of two years of college studies (or equivalent to part-time, equal to 60 credit hours) is required. (Please note that you need to submit U.S. education equivalency certification transcript if you studied in a foreign college/university. Education credentials from foreign universities must be verified for education equivalency. More information: Evaluation of Foreign Degrees for a United States State Goverment Application Webpage). Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of three years full time (or equivalent part-time) work experience in office management or general management is required.  (Please note that one credited year of working experience is equal to 40 hours/week x 52 weeks or 2080 hours). Language:  Fluent in English; speaking/reading/writing, may include the ability to translate.  Please address this language requirement in your ERA application.
