About the Role – Engineer (Mid-Day Shift: 1:30pm - 10:00pm)
This hands-on engineering role is responsible for maintaining plant performance and supporting production through effective troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Working closely with production teams, you’ll play a key role in minimising downtime, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring our manufacturing processes run smoothly and safely.

What You’ll Be Doing
Working across the plant, you’ll take ownership of engineering support and operational reliability:
• Maintain mechanical plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and implement preventative maintenance solutions
• Work closely with production teams to resolve issues and minimise downtime
• Support daily production requirements to meet the production plan
• Coach and support operators on equipment use and basic fault prevention
• Ensure all work meets food safety, GMP, and health & safety standards
• Liaise with production and planning teams to coordinate maintenance activities
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance
• Participate in shift handovers to ensure clear communication between teams
What You’ll Bring
• Trade qualification or engineering degree (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG (5+ years preferred)
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining production equipment
• Experience with steam, pneumatic systems, and packaging/manufacturing equipment
• Confidence working with PLC-controlled equipment
• Ability to read engineering drawings and manuals
• Maintenance system experience (Mex experience an advantage)
• Practical, hands-on problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with wider teams
• A proactive, reliable, and improvement-focused mindset
