Cost Accounting

Flawless Diamonds is the first lab-grown diamond brand in Indonesia, committed to redefining the jewelrs to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accounting professional to support our manufacturing operations by ensuring accurate product costing, valuation, and production cost analysis 

Job Description

1. Recording of Raw Materials & Allocation of Production Costs: Record and monitor the movement of raw material inventory, including gold, lab-grown diamonds, and other supporting components, while calculating and maintaining product costs based on the Bill of Materials (BOM), direct labor, and manufacturing overhead, and analyzing production costs to ensure accurate product costing, effective cost control, and operational efficiency.
2. Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) Preparation: Prepare, calculate, and analyze the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for each finished jewelry product by incorporating material, labor, and manufacturing overhead costs to ensure accurate costing and margin analysis.
3. Accounting Journal Entries: Prepare and record accounting journal entries in the ERP system for raw material transactions, Work in Progress (WIP), and finished goods to ensure accurate inventory valuation and financial records.
4. Dual Production Control: Reconcile and monitor production and costing data from both internal production processes and external workshop partners to ensure data accuracy, consistency inventory records, and financial report.
5. Cost Reporting: Prepare and present periodic production cost reports and cost variance analysis to management, providing actionable insights to support financial planning, cost control, and business decision-making.
6. Cross functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the Production and Operations teams to collect accurate and timely cost data for product costing and financial reporting.  
7. Internal Audit & Process Improvement: Conduct internal reviews of cost accounting processes and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
8. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing cost budgets and forecasts for upcoming periods to support financial planning and cost management.
9. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation of cost-related transactions and ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

1. Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Cost Accountant or in a Cost Accounting role within the manufacturing, jewelry, handicraft, or related industry.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail in handling financial data and complex cost structures.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including functions such as VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, and other data analysis tools.
5. Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting, production accounting journal entries, inventory valuation, and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) calculations.
6. Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with Odoo is highly preferred).
7. High level of integrity, accuracy, and accountability, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Production, Operations, Warehouse, and Finance teams.
