We are welcoming high caliber professionals to join our team as Mechanical Inspectors. The Mechanical Inspector – Rotating & Static Equipment & Welding is responsible for planning, executing, and sustaining the inspection program for all static equipment, rotating equipment, and welding-related integrity aspects across the plant. The role safeguards equipment reliability, mechanical integrity, and inspection compliance in line with company standards, statutory requirements, and applicable international codes and standards. The role holder is also expected to conduct robust root cause analysis (RCA), act as a technical investigator for failures or integrity incidents and provide expert interpretation of inspection and NDT reports to support safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operation.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Welding Engineering, or other relevant technical discipline.

  2. Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in mechanical inspection, asset integrity, reliability, maintenance, or inspection engineering in chemical, oleochemical, petrochemical, refinery, power, or heavy industrial environments.

  3. Strong practical exposure to both static equipment and rotating equipment inspection and maintenance interfaces.

  4. Demonstrated experience in welding inspection, repair quality control, and technical investigation of failures or anomalies.

  5. Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, general arrangement drawings, repair dossiers, vendor reports, and technical specifications.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain inspection programs for static equipment including pressure vessels, piping, heat exchangers, tanks, columns, reactors, and associated pressure-containing components.

  2. Assess equipment condition, identify degradation mechanisms, and evaluate integrity risks for both rotating and static equipment.

  3. Review welding procedures, welder qualifications, material traceability, consumables control and preheat/PWHT requirements as applicable.

  4. Demonstrate strong practical understanding of inspection and NDT methods including VT (Visual Testing), UT (Ultrasonic Testing) , RT (Radiographic Testing), PT (Penetrant Testing), MT (Magnetic Particle Testing), hardness testing, PMI (Positive Material Identification), borescope, and specialized methods where applicable.

  5. Lead or actively participate as a technical investigator in mechanical failures, recurring defects, leaks, damage, and integrity incidents.

  6. Maintain complete, accurate, and auditable inspection records, reports, anomaly registers, and equipment history files.
