A truck driver is responsible for safely transporting goods, materials, or equipment over long distances or locally, ensuring timely delivery.
Key duties include operating commercial vehicles, inspecting trucks for mechanical issues, loading/unloading cargo, maintaining accurate logbooks, and adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Licensing & Documentation: Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle (Code C)).
- Experience: At least 1-3 years of professional driving experience.
- Physical Abilities: Ability to lift heavy packages/luggage, often up to (), and stand/sit for long periods.
- Skills: Proficiency with GPS, route planning, and basic vehicle maintenance (e.g., checking oil, tires, fuel).
