About the role

PT Virtus Venturama is seeking an Assistant Manager Logistic to join our dynamic warehousing, storage and distribution team. This is a contract position based in Tangerang, Banten, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our logistics facilities and distribution networks. As Assistant Manager Logistic, you will support senior management in overseeing daily warehouse operations, optimizing inventory management, and maintaining our high standards of service delivery to clients. This position is integral to our supply chain operations and directly impacts our ability to meet customer expectations and operational targets.

Key responsibilities

  1. Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatching of goods

  2. Manage inventory levels and coordinate stock movements to ensure optimal warehouse utilization

  3. Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and performance standards

  4. Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates and warehouse productivity

  5. Liaise with logistics partners, transporters and clients to ensure smooth distribution operations

  6. Implement and maintain warehouse management systems and standard operating procedures

  7. Conduct regular training sessions for warehouse personnel on safety, efficiency and company policies

  8. Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process improvements to reduce costs and enhance service quality

  9. Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations within the warehouse facility

  10. Prepare reports on warehouse performance, inventory discrepancies and operational challenges


What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics or supply chain management

  2. Proven experience in supervising and managing warehouse teams

  3. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software

  4. Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to multitask and priorities effectively

  5. Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management, stock control and order fulfillment processes

  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead teams and communicate with stakeholders

  7. Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues

  8. Familiarity with health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations in warehousing operations

  9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing operational demands

  10. Knowledge of logistics optimization and distribution best practices is advantageous

  11. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred
