Senior Garment Technician - Fitting / Technical Design (Semarang)

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with Product Development team on the customer new development such as construction, size specification and modification

• Develop the client-approved block and instruct the sample production factories to use the specified pattern

• Review from product development stage to ensure factories fully understand and will follow the first fit sample

• Validate the sample submission per Time and Action calendar and execute timely.

• Review samples per customers’ specification and construction details. Visit factories to troubleshoot and make corrective arrangement Join PP meetings for quality enhancement and urge for TOP samples if necessary

• Prepare and submit monthly report for Brand Leaders for overviewing sample performance

• Work with Brand Leaders to address underperforming factories and set up remedial measures

• Initiate factory visit to measure factory improvement progress and alert merchandising team on relative sample weakness

JOB SPECIFICATIONS (e.g. Qualification, Job Experience):

• College degree or equivalent work experience in sampling area

• Experience working in sample room, review fit samples & coordinate with customers is a plus

• At least 10 years related sampling experience in the garment industry

• Good understanding of manufacturing process in a factory, production management and quality control

• A recognized expert on pattern making/grading, garment construction and machinery limitations

• Able to provide constructive solutions and directions for manufacturer to improve fit and product image

• Good analytical skills to solve complex technical problems which have impact to the business
