About the role
PT Bahtera Bumi Raya is seeking an HR Specialist (Mandarin Speakers) to join our Human Resources team in Jakarta Selatan. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting our expanding operations and diverse workforce. As an HR Specialist with Mandarin language capabilities, you will be instrumental in bridging communication gaps and providing comprehensive HR support to our Mandarin-speaking employees and stakeholders. This role is based in Jakarta Selatan and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our organisational culture and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Provide HR support, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
Conduct interviews and candidate screening based on company needs.
Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
Support employee engagement initiatives and workplace culture development.
Handle employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and employment matters.
Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
Act as a communication bridge between management and Mandarin-speaking employees.
Assist with visa processing, work permits, and immigration documentation for foreign employees.
Support payroll administration and employee benefits management.
Contribute to HR planning and operational strategy.
What we're looking for
Fluency in English and Mandarin (both spoken and written) at a professional or near-native level; English proficiency is essential
Proven experience working in Human Resources, with a minimum of 2-3 years in an HR generalist or specialist role
Strong knowledge of Indonesian labour laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently whilst collaborating with team members
Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
