Responsibilities:
Coordinate and execute procurement activities to fulfill all departmental operational requirements.
Handle the procurement of materials, equipment, spare parts, and fuel in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Continuously source and develop qualified vendors to support procurement activities.
Obtain quotations for tenders, conduct price negotiations, and recommend purchasing decisions based on price, terms of payment (TOP), terms of delivery (TOD), quality, and other commercial considerations.
Coordinate with the Accounting, Tax, and Finance Departments regarding Payment Requisition processing and payment status.
Conduct vendor audits and periodic vendor performance evaluations.
Monitor the delivery process and ensure timely receipt of purchased goods.
Perform other ad hoc duties and assignments as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline from a reputable university.
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant working experience in procurement or a related field.
Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in computer applications, ERP systems (preferably SAP), Export & Import procedures, and contract administration.
Experience working in the shipping and maritime industry.
