Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy Development & Market Leadership

  • Lead the overall strategy, growth agenda, and execution roadmap for the organization’s ESG & Impact Advisory business serving corporates, including full P&L ownership for a new, revenue-generating business unit.

  • Drive business development, client acquisition, and revenue growth across key markets, including Indonesia, India, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Bangladesh.

  • Leverage an established senior-level corporate network to originate and secure strategic partnerships, advisory mandates, and long-term sustainability engagements.

  • Develop integrated advisory propositions that bring together sustainable finance readiness, impact measurement, ESG strategy, and sustainability transformation.

2. Corporate ESG, SDG Strategy & Sustainable Finance

  • Translate corporate ESG, sustainability, and purpose commitments into measurable, actionable strategies aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

  • Design innovative sustainable and blended-finance mechanisms, including sustainability-linked loans, supplier financing programs, outcome-based grants, and other impact-linked financing solutions.

  • Support corporate clients in preparing for evolving ESG, climate, sustainability, and impact reporting requirements across South and Southeast Asia.

  • Advise senior corporate leadership on integrating sustainability into business strategy, financing, operations, and value-chain transformation.

3. Supply Chain ESG & Orange Movement Certification Program

  • Lead comprehensive Tier 1–3 supply-chain ESG diagnostics, assessing areas including gender parity, greenhouse-gas emissions intensity, climate resilience, and broader sustainability performance.

  • Develop practical supplier improvement and transformation roadmaps to address identified ESG and impact gaps.

  • Accelerate supplier qualification through the organization’s Orange Movement certification framework, ensuring suppliers meet defined sustainability and impact standards.

  • Align supply-chain transformation plans with national SDG priorities, climate commitments, regulatory requirements, and relevant sustainability taxonomies.

4. Sustainable / Orange Bond Impact Assessment

  • Lead corporate clients through the complete sustainable bond impact lifecycle, embedding robust impact frameworks, monitoring systems, verification processes, and reporting mechanisms from pre-issuance through post-issuance.

  • Pre-issuance: Conduct ESG, gender-lens, climate, and supply-chain diagnostics for issuers and relevant stakeholders.

  • Map proposed use of proceeds and impact objectives to relevant SDGs, national SDG roadmaps, Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), and applicable sustainability frameworks.

  • Develop customized Impact Frameworks and KPI matrices aligned with relevant sustainable bond principles, IFC Performance Standards, and applicable green, social, sustainability, and gender-lens bond guidelines.

  • Work closely with the organization’s Innovative Finance team, which leads transaction structuring, Second Party Opinions (SPOs), and credit-rating processes, to ensure strong alignment between financial structuring and impact commitments.

  • Produce comprehensive Impact Frameworks, baseline data packs, and investor-ready impact sections for offering and transaction materials.

  • Integrate supplier certification criteria into relevant transactions and validate KPI frameworks against recognized market standards, including the ASEAN Taxonomy and EU Taxonomy.

  • Post-issuance: Deploy digital impact measurement platforms to capture real-time impact data, monitor performance, generate annual Impact Reports and investor dashboards, and identify KPI deviations with appropriate corrective-action recommendations.

  • Leverage aggregated transaction and impact data to advise regulators, stock exchanges, policymakers, and market participants on sustainable-finance frameworks, taxonomy development, and market evolution.

  • Contribute to thought leadership on gender equality, climate resilience, inclusive finance, and sustainable capital markets.

5. Integration of ESG Assessment & Analytics Platforms

  • Integrate the organization’s proprietary ESG assessment, impact measurement, and intelligence platforms into every advisory engagement.

  • Ensure all advisory mandates are supported by robust ESG analytics, impact measurement, monitoring, verification, and reporting capabilities.

  • Establish strong data, assurance, and reporting systems that enhance transparency, accountability, credibility, and decision-making across client engagements.

6. Team Leadership & Advisory Delivery

  • Build, lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing ESG, sustainability, and impact advisory team.

  • Establish a culture of excellence, innovation, accountability, and continuous professional development.

  • Ensure exceptional client service, rigorous quality standards, timely delivery, and operational excellence across all engagements.

  • Lead complex, multi-sector advisory assignments across industries including agribusiness, energy, manufacturing, consumer goods, and financial services.

  • Provide strategic leadership to the organization’s impact measurement and intelligence teams, integrating these capabilities into the broader Advisory practice.

  • Develop scalable methodologies, tools, and delivery models to support the growth of the advisory business across multiple markets.

7. Thought Leadership & Ecosystem Engagement

  • Represent the organization at regional and international conferences, industry forums, investor engagements, and policy dialogues.

  • Develop and contribute to thought leadership on ESG, sustainable finance, impact investing, gender-lens finance, climate finance, and inclusive economic development.

  • Build strategic relationships with Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), regulators, financial institutions, corporates, investors, exchanges, policymakers, and other ecosystem stakeholders.

  • Help shape the development and adoption of innovative sustainable-finance instruments and frameworks across emerging markets.

  • Champion inclusive finance, gender equality, climate action, and sustainable economic growth through active industry and ecosystem engagement.

  • Support the broader growth and adoption of the Orange Movement and its market-based approach to inclusive and sustainable finance.



Experience & Skills

  • 15+ years of senior leadership experience in ESG advisory, sustainability consulting, impact finance, sustainable finance, corporate sustainability, or a closely related field.

  • Demonstrated track record of building, scaling, and leading advisory businesses or consulting practices, including prior P&L ownership and responsibility for revenue generation.

  • Strong existing network of senior corporate, financial-sector, investor, regulatory, and institutional stakeholders across South and Southeast Asia.

  • Significant experience working with corporates and/or financial institutions across markets such as India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Bangladesh.

  • Deep expertise across ESG regulation, sustainability strategy, supply-chain sustainability, climate finance, blended finance, impact measurement, sustainable bonds, sustainability-linked finance, and gender-lens investing.

  • Strong understanding of capital markets, sustainable-finance instruments, impact frameworks, ESG reporting, and emerging sustainability taxonomies.

  • Experience designing and implementing measurable ESG and SDG strategies, including the development of KPIs, impact frameworks, monitoring systems, and reporting mechanisms.

  • Proven ability to work at the intersection of corporate strategy, sustainability, finance, impact, and capital markets.

  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to originate opportunities, convert relationships into mandates, manage P&L, and build scalable revenue streams.

  • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder-management, communication, presentation, and relationship-building capabilities.

  • Experience engaging with DFIs, regulators, investors, financial institutions, policymakers, and other ecosystem stakeholders is highly desirable.

  • A Master’s degree in Sustainability, Finance, Economics, Public Policy, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
