Hydrus Audio Engineer

Overview

We are looking for an Audio Engineer to support Project Hydrus by inspecting voice recordings after they have been approved or rejected by our internal reviewers. The role focuses exclusively on technical audio quality, ensuring recordings meet project specifications and reviewing audio-related guidelines from a technical perspective.

What You Will Do

• Review and evaluate voice recordings for technical audio quality.

• Verify compliance with technical requirements, including file format, bit depth, sample rate, recording equipment, environment quality, static reduction.

• Prepare audio recordings from human actors

• Review task guidelines and provide recommendations from an audio engineering perspective.

Project Details

• Start Date: ASAP

• Commitment: ~20 hours/week (flexible schedule)

• Job Type: Freelance contract

• Location: Remote

• Rate per hour: $55.00

Requirements

• Background in Audio Engineering, Audio Production, Sound Design, or a related field.

• Advanced English proficiency (written and reading) is required, as all project instructions and guidelines are provided in English.

• Experience evaluating the technical quality of voice recordings.

• Strong understanding of digital audio standards, including file formats, sample rates, and bit depth.

• Familiarity with recording equipment, microphone quality, and recording environments.
