Purchasing Manager – Factory Partnership & Vendor Development (Furniture)

PT Woodara Projects Supplier is a furniture procurement and interior coordination company operating across Bali and Jepara, serving clients in the hospitality and property sectors. We build direct relationships with selected factories to deliver quality products at competitive prices for our clients.

About This Role

Woodara is building an independent, strategic purchasing function — not just purchase order processing, but full ownership of the factory relationship: capacity, reliability, commercial terms, and formal cooperation agreements, negotiated against real client data. This role sits at peer level with the team handling the client/developer side, with a primary focus on the supply side (factory & materials).

Key Responsibilities

• Own the factory relationship end-to-end: onboarding, ongoing evaluation, and offboarding underperforming factories.

• Pull and verify client data (order volume, delivery deadlines, payment/DP schedule) from the Account Manager, Finance, and ClickUp before negotiating any terms with a factory.

• Draft and negotiate Cooperation Agreements with factories — capacity commitment, payment terms, quality clauses, exclusivity, liability — built around commitments Woodara has already made to the client.

• Track agreement status per factory; flag any factory operating without a signed or up-to-date agreement.

• Verify factory capacity and reliability data on-site through regular audits in Jepara, and feed the results into the shared database maintained by the Estimator team.

• Reconcile factory data regularly with the Estimator — resolve discrepancies directly, escalating to the Production Director only if unresolved.

• Coordinate purchase orders and delivery commitments with factories once the Estimator has set the target price.

Qualifications

• Min. 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or vendor management, ideally in manufacturing, furniture, or a factory-facing industry.

• Experience negotiating and drafting vendor/supplier contracts is required, not a nice-to-have.

• Comfortable discussing payment terms, liability, and delivery commitments directly with factory owners.

• Able to independently assess a factory's production capability during a site visit — not just take the factory's word for it.

• Comfortable working as a peer with the Estimator/Pricing team — reconciling data, not just receiving instructions.

• Based in Bali, or willing to relocate to Bali full-time (required) — with willingness to travel regularly to Jepara for factory visits and negotiations.

• Fluent Bahasa Indonesia & English; working English for supplier/contract documentation.
