Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer (for Design & Engineering)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Design & Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical design process for industrial and infrastructure projects, ensuring engineering deliverables meet project requirements, applicable codes and standards, and client expectations. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and experience working on multidisciplinary engineering projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering design, preferably within EPC, industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, power plants, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering design principles, international codes, and industry standards (ASME, API, ANSI, ISO, etc.).

• Experience preparing engineering calculations, technical specifications, equipment datasheets, and design documentation.

• Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or other relevant mechanical design software.

• Familiarity with 3D design coordination and BIM environments is an advantage.

• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering coordination.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

• Able to work independently and manage multiple engineering activities simultaneously.

• Professional Engineer certification or relevant professional membership is an advantage.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of mechanical engineering designs from concept through detailed engineering.

• Prepare and review mechanical engineering calculations, specifications, technical reports, datasheets, and design drawings.

• Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and process engineering teams to ensure integrated design solutions.

• Review vendor documents and technical proposals to ensure compliance with project specifications.

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior mechanical engineers and designers.

• Ensure all engineering deliverables are completed on schedule and in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.

• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, constructability reviews, and technical meetings with clients and project stakeholders.

• Support procurement and construction teams by providing technical clarifications and resolving engineering issues.

• Identify engineering risks and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

• Ensure compliance with quality management systems and engineering best practices.
