We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Finance, Accounting & Costing Officer / Senior Staff who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance and accounting activities at our manufacturing facility.
This position will act as the Finance & Accounting PIC at the factory, covering finance operations, payment processing, bookkeeping, production costing, HPP calculation, inventory-related accounting, and financial control.
The ideal candidate should not only be able to record transactions, but also understand how factory operations translate into financial numbers and product costs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Finance & Payment Management
Manage day-to-day finance activities and financial transactions at the factory.
Prepare and process payments for factory operational expenses, vendors, suppliers, utilities, payroll-related expenses, and other approved expenditures.
Verify invoices, purchase orders, receiving documents, and other supporting documents before payment.
Prepare payment requests and payment schedules in accordance with company policies and approval procedures.
Monitor factory cash flow and daily cash requirements.
Perform bank reconciliation and monitor outstanding payments.
Maintain complete and organized payment documentation.
Ensure all payments are properly authorized and supported by valid documents.
Coordinate with Purchasing, Warehouse, Production, HR, and other departments regarding payment and financial matters.
2. Product Costing & HPP
Calculate and maintain Harga Pokok Produksi (HPP) for all manufactured products.
Prepare product costing based on raw materials, direct labor, and manufacturing overhead.
Calculate cost per unit based on production volume and actual production data.
Prepare and maintain Standard Cost and Actual Cost.
Analyze production cost variance between standard and actual costs.
Monitor changes in raw material prices and their impact on product HPP.
Coordinate with Production, PPIC, Purchasing, and Warehouse to obtain accurate production and material consumption data.
Monitor WIP (Work in Process), raw materials, and Finished Goods.
Prepare product margin analysis as a basis for management in determining selling prices and target margins.
Review costing assumptions and update product costing when there are significant changes in material prices, production processes, labor costs, or overhead.
Identify opportunities for cost efficiency and cost reduction.
3. Accounting & Bookkeeping
Record daily factory financial transactions accurately and completely.
Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable recording.
Record inventory, production-related transactions, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and other accounting transactions.
Perform bank and account reconciliations.
Maintain proper supporting documents for all accounting transactions.
Assist in monthly closing and preparation of financial reports.
Prepare supporting schedules and reconciliations required for management reporting and audit purposes.
Ensure accounting records are properly maintained in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
4. Financial Control & Reporting
Monitor factory operating expenses and production costs.
Prepare periodic reports related to factory expenses, production costs, HPP, and cash flow.
Perform Budget vs. Actual analysis and explain significant variances.
Identify unusual transactions, cost deviations, or potential financial control issues.
Reconcile financial data with operational data from Production, PPIC, Warehouse, and Purchasing.
Maintain proper financial controls over factory transactions.
Support internal and external audit processes when required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Accounting, Finance, Management, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, Costing, or Cost Control.
Previous experience in a manufacturing / factory environment is highly preferred.
Highly responsible and trustworthy, particularly in handling company payments and financial information.
Detail-oriented and highly accurate.
Strong in analytical thinking and numerical reasoning.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Comfortable working directly at a manufacturing site.
Able to communicate effectively with Production, PPIC, Purchasing, Warehouse, and management.
Proactive in identifying problems rather than simply recording them.
Able to work under deadlines, especially during payment processing and month-end closing.
Organized and disciplined in maintaining financial documentation.
Has a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Willing to go to the factory floor to understand the actual production process when required.
