About the role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager (Mandarin Speaker) to join our team on a full-time basis in Central Jakarta. This is a pivotal position within our finance function, responsible for overseeing financial accounting, reporting, and analysis activities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial statements whilst providing strategic financial insights to support business decision-making. This role is essential to maintaining robust financial controls and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles

• Oversee the general ledger and ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions

• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjusting entries

• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit processes and resolve audit findings

• Prepare financial reports and analyses for management and stakeholders, highlighting key performance metrics and variances

• Ensure compliance with Indonesian tax regulations and accounting standards, and manage tax reporting submissions

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance on accounting policies and procedures

• Liaise with parent company or international stakeholders, communicating financial information in Mandarin as required

• Implement and improve financial accounting systems and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy

• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and collection

What we're looking for

• Qualification and Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (such as CPA or equivalent) is preferred

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment

• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems; advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Language Proficiency: Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages

• Accounting Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Indonesian accounting standards (SAK), tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements

• Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in financial records and reporting

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify trends and provide financial insights

• Leadership: Proven ability to manage and develop team members, with strong interpersonal skills

• Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with audit requirements and best practices in internal controls
