Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising the daily operations of the warehouse in a manufacturing environment. The position ensures the efficient receiving, storage, inventory control, and issuance of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and warehouse supplies. The Warehouse Supervisor is also responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards, supervising warehouse personnel, and coordinating with other departments to support uninterrupted production and customer requirements.


Duties and Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

  • Supervise and oversee the daily warehouse operations.
  • Ensure the accurate receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials and finished goods.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound warehouse activities to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Maintain proper storage conditions and warehouse organization.
  • Ensure compliance with FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) inventory practices, where applicable.
  • Monitor warehouse cleanliness and implement 5S standards.


Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure material availability.
  • Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate recording of all warehouse transactions.
  • Monitor damaged, obsolete, and expired materials and recommend appropriate actions.


Team Supervision

  • Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate warehouse personnel.
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor employee productivity.
  • Prepare work schedules and ensure adequate manpower coverage
  • Enforce company rules, policies, and warehouse procedures.
  • Address employee concerns and recommend disciplinary actions when necessary.


Documentation and Reporting

  • Verify warehouse documents such as Receiving Reports, Delivery Receipts, Material Requisition Forms, Stock Transfer Forms, and Inventory Reports.
  • Maintain complete and accurate warehouse records.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse reports.
  • Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of warehouse documents

Coordination

  • Coordinate with the Production Department regarding material requirements
  • Coordinate with the Purchasing Department on incoming deliveries.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Assurance Department regarding inspection and material disposition.
  • Coordinate with the Logistics Department on shipment schedules.
  • Communicate warehouse concerns and operational updates to Management.


Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and warehouse procedures.
  • Enforce occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Warehousing Practices (GWP).
  • Report accidents, incidents, equipment failures, and unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment.


Continuous Improvement

  • Recommend improvements to warehouse systems and processes.
  • Participate in warehouse audits and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support cost reduction and operational efficiency programs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or any related field.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, and material handling.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Warehousing Practices (GWP), and occupational safety standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
